It's an agent that speeds significant change through creativity.
I’m an artist and writer with a passion for creativity and storytelling. I’ve spent the last 20 years in various marketing and communications positions in the B2B technology industry. Every company, organization, and team can use some extra creative juice to get things going. Together we can create something unique and have a lasting impact.
In an evolving world, creativity is more important than ever. Clear and concise communications are no longer enough, and prescriptive marketing will only put you further behind your competition. When it comes to change, sometimes traditional methods of communication and marketing can fall flat or quickly be overcome by events. And that's where I come in with a burst of creativity. I work with leaders and act as a catalyst to inspire, motivate and speed the adoption of their most critical programs.
Working with the Disney Events Group gives fun a whole new meaning. Together with the talented Disney artists and producers, we created an original Disney character. Affectionally named Patterson Junior (PJ), after NCR’s founder, John H Patterson, the larger-than-life octopus, dominated the 100-foot screen for launching NCR’s new retail platform at their annual user conference.
We collaborated on a one-of-a-kind experience, and I felt right at home working with the Disney team to design the character, write the script and produce the marketing for the event.
The same type of technology used for Turtle Talk with Crush at Epcot in Walt Disney World was used at the event. The animated avatar of PJ was operated by a backstage actor/puppeteer whose performance was digitized in real time.
Sometimes it's during our most difficult times that we are most inspired. The recent pandemic was the catalyst for launching an intranet and a content strategy to continuously publish good news, employee stories, and shout-outs. The intranet also became the platform for communicating workplace updates, the company vision, and the corporate values launch.
To aid in our communications strategy, I developed an original comics series to share important information about our COVID best practices and our new corporate values.

Sitting in the CEO's office, armed with a yellow legal pad and a pencil, I was ready for anything. That's when inspiration struck. The words hovered in the air and were magically tethered to my pencil. I sketched out an idea. Everyone unanimously said, "That's it!"
At the time, Symbol Technologies had expanded into the software and wireless markets and created the Enterprise Mobility category. The tagline "Capture, Move and Manage" was the inspiration for the Cm2 design. This identity was the formula for the company’s heritage in data capture combined with the power to move and manage data.

I love taking complex ideas and turning them into
compelling messages with capivating visuals.
In the beginning, I knew as much about the Internet of Things, as I did about scuba diving, which is very little, to say the least. And back then, IoT was still relatively new, but that’s want intrigued me to help build a brand for a tech startup.
The company had many accomplishments in a few short years, including being named to the Inc 5000, the Connected World IoT Innovations list, and the CEO was named to the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) IoT/Cloud Game Changers list. I learned so much about IoT during that time, and I wrote an article in Forbes to help others in marketing understand the impact of IoT.

When it came to implementing an organizational change that would impact thousands of employees across the globe, as always, it came down to people, processes, and technology. In this case, introducing new technology was vital.
I designed and developed a mobile app using an intuitive app builder to make the new strategy just a tap and a swipe away from every employee. The app gave employees important information about the new organization at their finger times.
The body of work done for this organizational change landed the CIO a keynote at the TBM Council's annual conference. I created a Prezi to help visualize the story so that CIO could take people through a compelling business transformation journey.
